                        The Hotel Chesa Grischuna was built in 1938 by the Zurich star architect Hermann Schneider as a total work of art. He managed to combine craft traditions in the most beautiful way with creative contemporary art right down to the last file. Through the GIs stationed in the Chesa during World War II, the hotel became known in the USA and attracted famous writers and personalities from the film industry, who soon called the Chesa affectionately 'Hollywood on the rocks'. The tradition of warm hospitality is cultivated today by Barbara Rios Guler and Marianne Randall.
